Both documents were signed in 2000. According to Minister Dumitru Alaiba, they are no longer relevant for our country. Concerning free trade issues - the draft notes that the document contains criteria different from the European ones that we have to implement in the process of EU accession, realitatea.md reports. At the same time, the Government approved the ratification of the Convention of the member states of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM on mutual assistance in consular issues. According to the document, the GUAM states will provide assistance to the signatory states in countries where they have no diplomatic representation. In its information note, the MFAEI specifies that, for example, our citizens will be provided with diplomatic support in the embassies of Ukraine, Georgia or Azerbaijan if they face difficulties in a country where we do not have an embassy.
