The Security and Intelligence Service announces the blocking of 31 websites. “The Decree of the SIS Director No. 74 of 30 October this year approved the list of online sources modifying, under the state of emergency, approved by the parliamentary resolution No. 41/2022, the content of information disseminated in the public space, capable of causing tension or social conflict, coming from the public authorities of a country in a state of military conflict and recognized as an aggressor, or coming from individuals or legal entities included in the international sanctions lists of the European Union, the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada and Norway for actions aimed at destabilizing the constitutional order in Moldova or for involvement in actions undermining the statehood and territorial integrity of neighboring Ukraine,” the press release said. The decree, containing binding instructions, was sent to providers of electronic communications networks and/or services in order to immediately block access to the above-mentioned sources for users in the Republic of Moldova, in accordance with the terms of Order No. 1/2022. The agency said that the decision was due to the fact that these websites distort the content of information disseminated in the public space. Afterwards, the SIS published the list of sources. We recall that last week, the SIS already blocked 22 websites. Moreover, 6 TV channels were suspended today at the SIS suggestion.
