The Parliament Speaker supported the decision to suspend the activity of 6 TV channels.
The official admits that the decision was late and claims that this was necessary to gather more evidence to support the arguments put forward by the institutions that took the decision. The PAS leader claims that the authorities were very clear in stating the reasons behind the decision.
“These channels should not exist at all, because they are conducting information warfare, disinformation day and night. You have seen everything, and the SIS came out and said how they are financed, and said it quite clearly,” Grosu added.
In addition, he noted that the money for funding comes from the Russian Federation and expressed confidence that the SIS will provide more evidence.
Asked why such a decision was taken in the last moment of the election campaign, Grosu cited the need for time to gather evidence.
“Because now the bandits’ crimes have taken on large proportions, as for this holding. It was necessary to collect evidence,” the PAS leader explained.
