Moldovan prosecutors took part in several investigative activities in France in a criminal case of “bank fraud”. This was reported by representatives of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office at a press conference. According to the head of the APO Veronica Dragalin, the searches took place from 9 to 11 January. Moldovan investigators also participated in the questioning of witnesses. The French authorities visited not only the flat, but also villas that allegedly belonged to the former PDM leader. The villa in question is located near the Alps. One of the houses is under reconstruction, the second house has an area of about 500 square meters, with several bathrooms, a library, wine storage, gyms and a garage. “During the search, French colleagues found and seized about 92,000 euros and 3,000 francs. We are waiting for the evidence to be sent to Moldova,” prosecutor Octavian Iachimovschi said.
