The decision to this effect was taken in Brussels, but more time is needed for the delivery of the equipment. This was stated by the EU ambassador to Chisinau, Janis Mazeiks. Mazeiks could not give a specific date, but noted that this equipment will not arrive before 2025, radiomoldova.md reported. He also recalled the EU support provided to the Moldovan Armed Forces over the past three years in the form of non-lethal equipment. “If this equipment comes to Moldova, it will help prevent situations where drones from outside penetrate the country’s territory,” Mazeiks said. Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii said earlier that the radar bought by the Chisinau authorities at the end of last year is functional, but this system is not enough, so other radars with greater capabilities should arrive in our country.
