Romanian President Klaus Iohannis issued a press statement naming Romania’s new Prime Minister.
Marcel Ciolacu has been nominated for the post of head of the Romanian government, libertv.md reports.
“The pro-European coalition has decided to form a majority and a government. This majority has been confirmed in Parliament and it is certain. I nominate Mr Marcel Ciolacu for the post of Prime Minister of Romania,” Klaus Iohannis said.
“This mandate honors me. Difficult times are coming, but I think we have learnt from the mistakes of the past. It is crucial that this government restores the confidence of investors and the business environment. Romanians need stability, reforms and security,” said Marcel Ciolacu.
