The head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office said this during a press conference.
“I have not been invited to the parliamentary hearings and I do not know what the goals of these changes are. I am in this position with a five-year mandate and I will continue to work every day in the interests of citizens,” Veronica Dragalin said, as quoted by unimedia.info.
She noted that she “came as an independent prosecutor to fulfil her function as a prosecutor, which is apolitical”.
‘I did not come to serve the political class. I admit that I may have contributed to this perception as someone close to the party, but, I repeat, I am an independent prosecutor,’ Dragalin also noted.
