A Paris court has sentenced France’s far-right leader Le Pen to four years in prison, two of them suspended, two with an electronic bracelet.
The court also banned Le Pen from being elected to state bodies for 5 years, report.az reports.
The court ordered its judgement to be applied immediately, which means she will not be able to run for French president in 2027.
Le Pen had left the courtroom before the judge finished announcing the verdict.
In addition to Le Pen, 12 assistants were also convicted in the case, and the court estimated the total damage at 4 million euros.
