The draft resolution to set the election date was voted in parliament by 57 MPs.
Earlier, the chair of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, said that these elections are decisive, reports deschide.md.
“Either we throw everything away, destroy everything we have achieved on the European path of modernization and block any chance of joining the European Union, or we move forward on the path of development and peace,” he said.
The last parliamentary elections in Moldova were held on July 11, 2021. Three political forces were elected to the legislature: The Action and Solidarity Party, the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, and the Sor party, which at that time had not yet been declared unconstitutional.
