Moldovan President Maia Sandu has said she will decide in the coming weeks whether she will accept the credentials of Russian Ambassador to Chisinau Oleg Ozerov.
She says she did not want to accept the documents because of Russia’s “unfriendly actions” towards Moldova, kommersant.ru reported.
Sandu said Russia was being disrespectful of Moldova’s sovereignty.
“There have been many unfriendly actions towards our country, we will see and analyze them in the future,” Sandu said on Jurnal TV.
The decree appointing Oleg Ozerov as ambassador to Chisinau was signed by the Russian president on 10 September 2024. Earlier, Maia Sandu said that she intended to accept Ozerov’s credentials in the future.
