The chairman of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party Andrei Nastase demanded to appeal to the public prosecution office with a request to open a criminal case against President Igor Dodon according to Article 330/2 “Unjust Enrichment”. Nastase wrote on his FB page on Tuesday that “Dodon has been in the government’s employ his entire career”, infotag.md reports. “Look at the house he lives in.  He wastes money. Is it possible to live like him on the salary of an official? That’s why I demand that the public prosecution office to open a criminal case against the president. My post is an official statement”, he wrote. According to him, the entire political career of the current president is “betrayal and lies”. “He betrayed the leader of the Party of Communists Voronin after receiving a membership card from his hands. He issued a statement that the Customs Union has no prospects, and after a while began to assert that Moldova cannot do without this association. With help of godfather of his child Viorel Melnik Dodon worked together with Orhei mayor Shor, who financed his election campaign in Chisinau in 2011”, noted Nastase. Andrei Nastase wrote that during the presidential campaign Dodon demanded that opposition candidates undertake obligations not to cooperate with the Democratic Party of Moldova (DPM), but being president Dodon “has always helped Chairman of the DPM Plahotniuc to carry out his strategic tasks which are the inviolability of the Prosecutor General, appointment of Vasiliy Botnari to Moldovagaz, approval of all ambassadors and judges, change in the electoral system, adoption of the law regarding construction of the Arena Chisinau, which will bring losses amounting to more than one billion lei for the state”. “Not a single television address to the people about the situation in the country. Not a single speech in parliament. No organized protest against the regime. For two years of Dodon presidency, we can see only concerts, hunting, quadracycle races, strawberry harvesting and numerous budget-financed vacation trips”, the opposition leader said. He noted that “during his election program Dodon swore to find and return the stolen billion and not allow the citizens to return this money, but he did not even try to initiate a legislative referendum on repealing the law on paying double the amount of stolen money to the citizens, although the Electoral Code gives this right to the head of state”. “Moreover, a few days ago, the president signed a law on capital amnesty, giving a green light to probable legalization of stolen money and money laundering for only 3%. After this, we can safely say that Dodon is an accomplice in the bank theft. So surely a dozen trips to Putin without any tangible results for Moldova can be more important for someone than the president-puppet, who has been doing nothing for two years to stop the degradation of the country” resented Nastase.
