Hungary demanded that Brussels did not make it impossible for Central Europe to get Russian gas via the Turkish Stream pipeline, said the Hungarian foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó. “It is absolutely clear that the enterprises of Western Europe together with Gazprom are preparing the construction of Nord Stream 2”, said Szijjártó. Considering that Western Europe will be able to buy gas via the Northern Route, Central Europe demands the same right for itself, the minister said. “We demand that the Western Europeans and Brussels do not make it impossible for us to acquire new transport routes from the south”, he added.
