After the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow Serbian President Vucic stated the need for his country to have additional gas flow from Russia in case of “problems” with the Ukrainian transit. Vucic noted that Serbia needed more and more gas and in case of problems with gas supplies through Ukraine, “we would ensure gas supplies through Bulgaria from the “Turk Stream”. The Serbian leader spoke about the “honest and friendly attitude of Putin and Russia towards the Serbian people and Serbia”. According to him, the parties agreed on specific steps, which one cannot tell so far. Vucic noted that during the negotiations at least 45 - 50 minutes was devoted to the topic of Kosovo and Metohija. He also noted that “Serbia has no desire to be part of NATO. Serbia wants to maintain its military neutrality”. “That is why we are working to strengthen our army so that we can resist any possible attack and aggression against our country”, Vucic said, adding that Russia had promised its support in this matter.
