Moldovans will be able to travel to Turkey without an external passport, only by identification document, and Moldovan carriers will no longer need authorization to enter the country. All these Moldovan government’s decisions were signed on October 17 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the presence of Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports. Erdoğan signed two more agreements - on military cooperation and joint exercises, the exchange of experience between youth and sports organizations and the organization of joint events. Erdoğan also signed a memorandum on the work and modernization of S. Demirel Moldovan-Turkish High School in Congaz, on student enrollment conditions, language of instruction, financing and equipment. On October 3, the government approved an agreement on the mutual abolition of visas, according to which Moldovan citizens will be able to travel to Turkey without an external passport, only by identification document. The same concerns Turkish citizens who come to Moldova. Earlier, on September 26, the Economy and Infrastructure Ministry amended the intergovernmental agreement, according to which Moldovan cargo carriers operating on the Moldova-Turkey route would no longer need special authorizations (permits) to enter Turkey.
