The National Development Strategy Moldova 2030 was discussed today in parliamentary committees. The document will be submitted for adoption to the legislative plenum. The document will be the instrument for implementing Agenda 2030 in Moldova and will be the basis for sector strategies. The Moldova 2030 Strategy aims at modifying the public policy optics in Moldova by focusing on the problems, interests and aspirations of people, moldpres.md reports. The strategy sees raising the quality of citizens' lives at that of the European Union. Also, the strategy includes four pillars of sustainable development: sustainable and inclusive economy, human and social capital, honest and efficient institutions, healthy environment. The document will be a landmark in the development of the Medium-Term Budgetary Framework and will replace the current strategy Moldova 2020. Under the Constitution, Parliament’s mandate is prolonged until the legal meeting of the new composition. During this period, the legislature may adopt ordinary laws, decisions, may hold hearings, consultations and parliamentary control.
