The head of state during his two-day working visit to the Russian Federation met with many Russian officials. On his press conference he said that his goal of the visit was to discuss the agenda of bilateral relations between Moldova and Russia and find a solution for the transit of Moldovan goods to the Russian market. “I want to tell you that as a result of negotiations with Vladimir Putin, we came to an agreement that, starting from yesterday, all goods produced in Moldova that will cross the territory of Ukraine will be freely delivered to the Russian Federation”. I want to remind you that from January 1, 2019, customs duties were canceled for 5 categories of goods, especially for wine and canned products, as well as fruits and vegetables. This means that Moldovan manufacturers will save approximately more than half a billion lei”, said the president. Igor Dodon also discussed with Vladimir Putin the first batch of specialized equipment to be delivered for the municipalities of Moldova, which Russia will transfer as grant assistance. The first 12 KamAZ trucks are expected to arrive in the republic next week and will be transferred to various localities throughout the republic, including Chisinau. During the meeting with the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, the parties reached an agreement to organizing in Moldova a forum in March this year with the participation of representatives from regions of the Russian Federation who had previously signed cooperation agreements with the regions of the Republic of Moldova.  Source: aif
