I think this is a good signal for strengthening the defense capacity of our state”, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed. She also noted that Ukraine hoped to become an active participant of the U.S. Foreign Military Financing program. “U.S. assistance continues to improve the training of combat departments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their equipment, medical and logistical support. I hope that, our cooperation will become even stronger with the new legislation”, the Deputy Prime Minister noted. For his part, Dayton noted that, given the available opportunities, it is necessary to work hard on defense sector reforms. “I understand well the complexity of the conditions Ukraine is involved, but I don’t need to look for reasons that hinder the process of transformation in the country.
