British Prime Minister Theresa May accepted the EU’s proposal to delay the withdrawal until October 31. The European Union and the UK agreed on a new delay for Brexit until October 31 tweeted the head of the European Council Donald Tusk on Thursday, April 11. “27 EU countries and the UK agreed a flexible delay until October 31. This means that the UK has another six months to find a better solution”, he wrote. At the same time, the statement of the 27 EU countries following the emergency summit in Brussels says that the delaying until October 31 will be no longer in force on May 31, 2019 if Britain does not hold elections to the European Parliament and does not ratify the exit agreement until May 22, 2019. In turn, May stressed that throughout the period of the delaying Brexit UK will retain all the rights of the EU member state, as well as its obligations. The British Prime Minister hopes that her country will leave the European Union as soon as possible, and regrets that because of the position of the British Parliament, this has not yet happened. Earlier it was reported that the leaders of the EU countries agreed to delay Brexit until the end of October. Source: Korrespondent.net
