President Igor Dodon, who came to the Parliament, told reporters about the threats of the Democratic Party and its leader Vladimir Plahotniuc. According to Dodon, the main problem of Democrats is the legitimate President who signs the laws. “Plahotniuc wants to get rid of Dodon. They would like to arrest me, but without two-thirds of the votes of the MPs they have no right to deprive me of immunity. So they try to blackmail my family and me I get messages threatening to arrest my family if I don't flee the country. They may try to neutralise me”, he stated. The President said that today he convened all ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions in Chisinau, whom he discussed the situation in the country with. According to Dodon, all of them recognized the new government of Maia Sandu and approve the coalition of PSRM and ACUM. “Now we have three scenarios. First: peaceful transfer of power to the government of Sandu and the beginning of the work of state bodies. We support this scenario. But the PDM, for sure, will try to organize early elections. There is a third scenario – the Democrats will try to destabilize the situation in the country until the bloodshed,” Dodon said.
