Filat served two-thirds of his time and was early released on parole.
This summer, the former prime minister’s punishment was lighten to one year and nine months. The decision was made by the Chisinau Court of the Ciocana sector in compliance with a court order of the European Court of Human Rights regarding the conditions of detention.
Filat’s lawyers Ion Vîzdoagă confirmed this information, publika.md reports.
