The Parliament of Romania dismissed Louis Orbán government on February 5. The senators and deputies expressed a no-confidence vote with 261 votes for taking responsibility for the bill on the two-round mayors election. This was reported by the observator. The no-confidence vote was initiated by the Social Democratic Party (PSD), which accused the Orban government of "privatizing Romanian democracy." The PSD and the Democratic Union of Hungarians of Romania (UDMR) said the government violated democratic principles by taking responsibility for the introduction of two rounds of mayoral elections.
