PSRM deputy Vlad Batrancea believes that a simple vote of no confidence against Foreign Minister Aureliu Ciocoi is not justified, and the objections raised are related to Coicoi’s personality and not to the ministry’s policy. “As for a simple vote of no confidence, it was more a political statement for the press than a legal act. The topics discussed at the plenary meeting did not have the character of a vote of no confidence, it was a series of claims to the personality of the minister and we did not hear any plausible arguments for talking about the policy of the ministry. Simple votes are directed against politics not against people. We will come with additional information on this issue,” Vlad Batrancea said, noi.md reports with reference to unimedia.info  According to the deputy, we live in a state that claims to be democratic: “We all, deputies, ministers and citizens, have the right to express certain opinions and give assessments, including to Mr. Ciocoi who made arguments in defense of his position. We have a polarized society in which there are several visions and regarding this conflict on the Dniester, I believe that there was a fratricidal conflict that could have been avoided if there weren’t certain politicians who made political decisions in a hurry and tried to put pressure. On both banks of the Dniester there lives one nation, brothers, relatives, there is one country - the Republic of Moldova. We believe that a solution can be found both politico-economic and social, for the reintegration of the country. There are many statements that impede political understanding between the two banks of the Dniester.” As to affirmations, that some of his colleagues in the PSRM faction would allegedly agree to vote for this vote of no confidence the MP from the Socialist Party expressed doubt: “I do not know the details of the conversation between Mr. Motpan and my colleagues from PSRM but this is probably a manipulation”.
