The first sanctions were introduced in 2014 - for the actions of Russia against Ukraine.

The European Union has extended sanctions against individuals and organizations in Russia, which, according to Brussels, are involved in “undermining the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine”. This was reported in the official publication of the European Union.

Banking operations restrictions are extended for 182 people and 135 organizations, they are also prohibited from entering the territory of the European Union.

Sanctions were introduced in the first half of 2014 after the Russian annexation of Crimea. As before, sanctions are extended for six months. The last time this was done on September 13, 2019.
