The reshuffle took place after the Party of Socialists signed an agreement on creating a coalition with the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party will apply for the post of Prime Minister or Speaker of the Parliament after the presidential election this fall. This statement was made by the Honorary Chairman of the Democratic Party Dumitru Diacov, agora.md reports. “The problem is that now we have come to the government at a very crucial time and at a time when there is a very fragile balance. The agreement contains a proposal for the Democratic Party to get one of the main posts after the presidential election. There is such a proposal, and we will return to it after the elections pass,” Dumitru Diacov said. Moreover, Diacov said that PDM chairman Pavel Filip will be a Democratic candidate for the post of prime minister or chairman of parliament. Recall that the Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party agreed to create a “political platform to support the government”. In the Chicu government, Democrats received 5 ministerial seats. Cristina Lesnic took the post of vice premier for reintegration. Alexandru Pinzari was appointed Minister of Defense. Igor Șarov became the Minister of Education, Culture and Science. Oleg Țulea received the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, and Sergiu Railean - Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.
