The Head of MFAEI Discussed with the European Commissioner the Repatriation of Moldovans from the EU

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea held a telephone conversation with the European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič. The main topic of discussion was the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. During information exchange on the actions taken by the EU and Moldova, the head of the MFAEI discussed with the European Commissioner possibilities to use the mechanisms introduced at the EU level in our country. "Also, officials discussed European assistance mechanisms to facilitate the repatriation of Moldovan citizens from EU territory in the crisis context," the ministry said in a statement. In conclusion, the parties agreed to maintain close contacts for coordination.
