Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu will arrive in Chisinau on a working visit on April 30. This was announced on April 29 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova (MFAEI). During the visit, a Romanian official will meet with Prime Minister Ion Chicu and his Moldovan counterpart Oleg Tulea. The parties intend to discuss Moldovan-Romanian relations and cooperation in combating the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The minister will arrive with doctors from Romania, as President Klaus Iohannis stated on April 27. “A team of doctors and medical workers from Romania will be sent to Moldova to help Moldovan doctors and medical personnel better cope with the COVID-19 epidemic. In addition, Romania will donate masks, sanitary materials, protective materials and medicines from the reserve to help citizens better overcome this epidemic,” the Romanian President said.
