The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) presented a package of legislative initiatives to support the agricultural sector in crisis times. Their restructuring will not have a serious impact on the banking sector, given the high level of reserves. Another support measure is to provide credit vacations up to 18 months and to cancel all fines imposed from 15 March current year because, when starting grain harvesting in June along with the gradual pandemic (economic) effects manifestation, farmers will not be able to pay loans and acquire the necessary to continue work "- he considered. The next measure, Bolea called " the law on interest approving, which is - free loans for the agricultural sector and state support when procuring raw materials for agricultural producers." "It is also necessary to cancel the VAT and customs duties on fodder importing for 12 years. Another measure is to pay compensation for each hectare of farmland affected by frost / drought," he said. The deputy also believes that it is necessary "to increase by 10% the national agricultural development fund to ensure budget transfers for irrigation systems procurement and natural disasters dealing; to certificate water bodies and improve access to them; to launch a national campaign to stimulate the domestic products purchase, including through fairs complying with safety standards. " According to PAS leader Maia Sandu, this is just a series of measures that the government should take urgently to support the agricultural sector, while she noted that in order to achieve these goals, the government "must take an urgent loan from abroad, which will be aimed at compensating damage to this sector in the current environment.
