After control in Donbas is established, authorities intend to liquidate administrations of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on ATR. According to him, the dialogue with the Donbas republics has "no prospects in the future settlement system." “If there is security, a troop withdrawal system, regained border control, then, in fact, where will be the place of this occupation administration? The answer is "nowhere",” said Mr. Kuleba (quoted by RIA Novosti). In early May, the head of Ukraine's Presidential office Andriy Yermak announced that Kiev plans to achieve the return of the uncontrolled territories of Donbas by the end of the year. If this fails, the Ukrainian authorities have a plan B, Mr. Yermak said. He did not give details of this plan. Later, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he “would not want to use plans B and C”, prepared in case there was no progress on the Minsk agreements. He announced this at a press conference marking his first year in office.
