Deputies from the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and the Democratic Party (PDM) called on the government to again introduce restrictive measures to stop a new type of coronavirus spreading. This was announced in the PSRM press release after the meeting of the ruling coalition on June 12, which was attended by Prime Minister Ion Chicu and President Igor Dodon. At the meeting, deputies discussed the possibility of introducing the requirement to wear protective masks in public places. In addition, parliamentarians believe that law enforcement agencies should more actively monitor compliance with safety rules in crowded places. Socialists and democrats also stressed the need to develop an action plan to overcome the crisis, contain the virus spreading, and stimulate the business environment and various sectors of economy. Recall that in Moldova coronavirus was diagnosed in 366 people over the past 24 hours. Thus, the total number of cases in the country increased to 11,093. Taking into account the dead (385) and recovered (6229), 4480 people are now being treated for coronavirus in Moldova.
