The World Health Organization has expressed concern about the accelerated transmission of coronavirus in Europe. WHO Regional Director for Europe, Dr. Hans Klüge, said that this surge was due to easing of quarantine restrictions. In particular, according to Kluge, in 11 European countries “the accelerated transmission has led to very significant resurgence that if left unchecked will push health systems to the brink once again”. Later, WHO stated that Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as Sweden, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo are among these countries, BBC reports. According to Kluge, there are already more than 2.5 million cases of Covid-19 in Europe, while about 20 thousand new cases are registered every day, more than 700 people die every day. In Russia, the number of new cases of Covid-19 continues to decline for the sixth day in a row. The country’s authorities report that over the past day 7.1 thousand new cases have been registered, that is 63 less than the day before. On Thursday, we prepared all the latest news about the coronavirus pandemic in Russia. The number of people infected with the new coronavirus has reached 15,453.
