DA Platform “Will Do Everything to Prevent Adoption of the “Gagauz Laws”

The Platform for Dignity and Truth party, led by Andrei Nastase, “will do everything possible” so that the package of “Gagauz laws” is not adopted in the country’s parliament. This was stated by the DA Platform MP Igor Munteanu at a press conference in Chisinau. He criticized the idea of ​​the socialists to put the “Gagauz laws” adoption issue back on the agenda, gagauzinfo.md reports. According to Munteanu, the laws developed in the joint working group of the parliament and the Gagauzian People’s Assembly are “unconstitutional” and should not be adopted in the country’s legislative body. “Our faction in the parliament will do everything possible to stop the adoption of these laws, which are undesirable and unsubstantiated by the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova,” Igor Munteanu stressed. The DA Platform called the package of “Gagauz laws”, developed during the study of the European autonomies’ experience and with the participation of international experts and diplomats, “toxic”, “doubtful” and “dangerous for Moldova”.
