The head of the White House spoke about the work of the United States and Russia on a nuclear nonproliferation agreement. Washington seeks to conclude an agreement on nuclear weapons with the Russian Federation. This was stated by US President Donald Trump on Friday, July 31, at a roundtable in Florida. “We are working with Russia right now on a nonproliferation agreement, nuclear nonproliferation. If we get something like that, it would be great,” the American leader said. At the same time, Trump provided no further details on bilateral negotiations. Recall, on July 28, three-day talks between the United States and Russia on nuclear arms control began in Vienna. The Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty (START-3), which limits the number of deployed strategic nuclear warheads and the number of their carriers, expires in February 2021. As reported, the United States invited China to take part in the talks, but official Beijing refused.
