Ukrainian Foreign Minister Initiated an Urgent Conversation with Lavrov

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba initiated an urgent conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the situation escalation in Donbass. According to Mr Kuleba, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed and another one wounded. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry explained that "illegal armed groups carried out provocations" in the zone of joint forces operation. He assessed this as an attempt "to disrupt the ceasefire and create significant obstacles to the peace process as a whole." “I initiated an urgent conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss the situation and ways out of it,” Mr. Kuleba wrote on Facebook. Recall, the regime of a complete and comprehensive ceasefire came into force at midnight on July 27. The agreement concluded by the TCG parties: Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE on the suspension of hostilities in the territory of Donbass, facilitated the truce beginning.
