DA Platform Suggested Testing All Judges and Prosecutors on Lie Detector

DA platform proposed " conducting an integrity check of all prosecutors and judges in Moldova using on lie detector." MP Dinu Plangau voiced this proposal at a briefing on Friday, infotag.md reported. Among other party proposals in the process of justice reform are: expanding the mechanism for checking the property of relatives of officials; restructuring the National Integrity Authority; introducing amendments to the Criminal Code (that would equate corruption-related crimes with treason); reform the Superior Council of Prosecutors and the Superior Council of Magistrates, so that the composition of the institutions is in no way dependent on changes in policy. According to Plangau, many of the measures currently being implemented in practice "further subordinate justice to politics, specifically to Igor Dodon." He again called on "corrupt judges and prosecutors to voluntarily resign", promising that "immediately after coming to power, Platform DA will demonstrate intolerance towards corrupt officials leaving them no guarantees for them to be able simply flee the country as before."
