DA Platform: PAS Involves Foreign Players in the Election Campaign

PAS makes use of foreign players in the election campaign - this can be concluded after the CDU chairman, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, announced her support for Maia Sandu in the presidential elections in November. The DA Platform General Secretary Ion Terguta said this on the air of the Politics program on TV8. On the other hand, the PAS vice-chairman, Sergiu Litvinenco, denied the information and noted that Terguta’s statement was not correct from a legal point of view, tv8.md reports. “Speaking of fraud, how do you feel about all parties’ joint appeal against the PAS for using foreign players in the election campaign? Foreign players were involved, and our legislation clearly prohibits their participation. This is contrary to the Electoral Code of Moldova,” the DA Platform General Secretary Ion Terguta said. “What Mr. Tergută is doing is not good, so I won’t answer this accusation. The law prohibits participation of foreign citizens in electoral activities of an electoral competitor. Where have you seen that anyone outside the country is involved in the context of campaigning? With all due respect, but I do not want to answer what Mr. Tergută said, because he is not right from a legal point of view,” the PAS vice-chairman Sergiu Litvinenco said.
