Sandu Invited Dodon to Debate Again: The Only Opponent I Want to Fight With

PAS presidential candidate Maia Sandu said she would only participate in the debate with the current president, Igor Dodon. The statements were made on Monday, October 19, on the air of the Cutia Neagră program on TV8. The PAS leader claims that her only opponent in the race for the presidency of Moldova is Igor Dodon, so she will not participate in the pre-election debates with other candidates registered in the election campaign. “My only opponent in this campaign is Igor Dodon. Hopefully he gets over his fear and goes to debate. I’m going to debate with him and I’m looking forward to it. Maybe he will let his fear go and come, but if he does not come, then he is a coward. Dodon is the only opponent I want to fight with,” Sandu said. Recall, earlier Maia Sandu recorded a video message to Igor Dodon, inviting him to take part in the pre-election debates. Igor Dodon announced that he would not participate in televised debates and would not use advertising banners in this election campaign. Presidential elections will take place on November 1, 2020.
