The statement was made by the Russian leader yesterday, October 22, at a meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
“We hope very much that at the upcoming elections in Moldova, the Moldovan people will appreciate efforts made by the current president of the republic to build relations with Russia,” Putin said, aif.md reports.
Earlier, the Russian president wished Igor Dodon success in the upcoming November 1 presidential elections.
“I really hope that after the presidential elections – by the way, I want to wish you success in these elections – we will be able to continue the work you started to restore our interstate relations and develop them,” he noted.
