Andrei Năstase, leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party, claims that the Action and Solidarity Party leader, Maia Sandu, took on a number of commitments during the election campaign, which were supported by the DA Platform. In that regard, the politician is waiting for Maia Sandu to take the presidential office to implement her promises. At the same time, responding to the question regarding the nature of their relationship, the DA Platform leader said that their relations are “correct”, ipn.md informs. “I congratulated Ms. Sandu, we exchanged views; now I expect that all procedures will be carried out, including in the Constitutional Court. I noticed that during the late election campaign she took a number of commitments that we had promised people. I am also waiting for the parliamentary decision on the captured state status, as well as on a number of commitments that we promised to finalize. The situation that the Republic of Moldova is going through does not allow us and especially the elected president who has received such great support from the people to stand aside,” Andrei Nastase said during the Punctul pe azi program on TVR Moldova. In addition, when talking about initiation of early parliamentary elections and the ACUM bloc session, Andrei Nastase noted that he was one of those who supported the creation of this bloc. “I was the initiator of the ACUM Bloc and I did everything I could to keep the bloc alive. I think that today each of the constituent parts of the block should be transformed. The DA platform is currently undergoing the rethinking process, and all decisions are certainly left to the discretion of the governing bodies,” the DA Platform leader added. As for the early parliamentary elections, the politician said that the formation he leads is ready for such elections. “Discussing this is premature, especially since the elections are not yet scheduled and we do not have many prospects with early elections. The point is that the Dignity and Truth Platform is ready for early elections and we want them because what the parliament represents today is not the free expression of the will of citizens.”
