Dodon: The Post of Prime Minister Is Not of Interest for Me

The incumbent President Igor Dodon denied to be running for the post of prime minister. On the air of the Moldova Live broadcast on national television, the head of state said he was not interested in such a scenario. “I don’t know who started these conversations about me becoming a prime minister. It doesn't interest me now. We will become premieres, and we will take other posts but later. Now you have won (PDS), take responsibility for the situation in the country. You said that you know better how to do this than the current government. Overthrow the government, appoint your own and, if you want, we go to early elections, ”Igor Dodon said, according to  tv8.md. Recall, on November 15, the leader of Our Party, Renato Usatii, spoke about the scenario according to which Igor Dodon would leave the post of head of state before Sandu comes to power. In this case, the speaker of the parliament, Zinaida Greceanîi, will become the interim president and appoint Dodon as prime minister.
