Kiev supported the President-elect of Moldova, Maia Sandu’s call, to withdraw Russian troops from the breakaway Transdniestria. First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emina Dzhaparova stated this on Monday,  infotag.md  reported with reference to the Interfax-Ukraine agency. "Ukraine is an active participant in the negotiation process on Transdniestria, and we do support the initiative of the elected President Maia Sandu to withdraw Russian military units from Transdniestria as soon as possible," Japarova said. The Minister of Ukraine said this during a meeting with the Moldovan Ambassador to Ukraine Ruslan Bolbocean. Dzhaparova informed Bolbocean about “numerous” cases of human rights violations by the Russian authorities in the annexed Crimea by Russia, as well as about the militarization of the peninsula. She invited Moldova to take part in the Crimean Platform initiative - an international forum on the Crimea problem. "The parties noted the intention of Ukraine and Moldova to continue the dialogue on the entire range of issues of bilateral relations in the spirit of friendship, trust and mutual understanding that exist between the two countries. The parties stressed the invariable mutual support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries," the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said. Earlier it was reported that soon after the inauguration of President Maia Sandu, she will go to Kiev on an official visit. Most likely, this will be her first visit abroad as head of state.
