The high-ranking EU officials are discussing short and medium term assistance to Moldova. This was announced by the EU delegation to the Republic of Moldova. "During the first week of February, EU officials make a virtual mission to the Republic of Moldova in order to discuss the EU assistance-related issues with the authorities, civil society and business representatives," the report says, infotag.md reports. This refers to the assistance that will be provided in the short and medium/long term, including the Multi-Annual Indicative Planning. "The mission is conducted following President Maia Sandu's recent visit to Brussels. It is designed to identify EU supporting tools in the interests of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova," the delegation emphasizes. Head of the Delegation Peter Michalko wrote on his facebook page that "the EU will continue to support the citizens of the Republic of Moldova". "After the very important visit of President Sandu to Brussels, it was a great honor for me to welcome my colleagues from the EU institutions who are starting a program mission in the Republic of Moldova in order to determine, together with Moldova's partners, short-term and long-term priorities, programs and projects of EU assistance," Michalko explained. The day before, the EU representatives already held the first virtual meeting with acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration which he leads.
