The decision to be made by the Constitutional Court judges on nominating a candidate for prime minister is predictable, the DA Platform leader Andrei Năstase says. On the air of the Ora Expertizei program on Jurnal TV, Andrei Nastase spoke in detail about the meeting he had with President Maia Sandu on the eve of the first attempt to appoint the government, jurnal.md reports. "We were together with Mr. Slusari and Mr. Munteanu, expressed our opinion and presented a version of the DA platform, saying that we are ready to re-create the ACUM block, which, unfortunately, has disintegrated. We proposed to come forward with a common government, for which the DA Platform would take responsibility. But the next day a different solution was offered," Andrei Năstase said. "At the moment we are waiting for the Constitutional Court decision which, most likely, will be based on the two already existing decisions. It will be based on the Constitution and the decision of the Constitutional Court will be as predictable as possible. We want to see how the president will act in a situation where there is a majority with its candidate for the post of prime minister," the politician added. Earlier, the PSRM deputies appealed to the Constitutional Court to check the constitutionality of the decree signed by Maia Sandu re-nominating Natalia Gavrilita for the post of prime minister. At the same time, the Socialists demanded that the Constitutional Court suspend the decree signed by Sandu pending a decision.
