President Maia Sandu did not accept the Socialists' invitation to hold consultations for the nomination of a candidate for the post of head of government.
In a commentary published by the presidential office, it is said this can only happen if the consequences of the decree signed by the president on March 16 are exhausted,
agora.md reported.
"New consultations with parliamentary factions and groups may take place after the Decree No. 47-IX of March 16, 2021, enter into force (which nominated Igor Grosu as a candidate for prime minister), issued after consultations organized by the President of the country on the same day," - noted in the department’s press release.
