The parliamentary majority, which included the Party of Socialists, the Shor party and other deputies, nominated the Moldovan Ambassador to Russia, Vladimir Golovatiuc, for the post of Prime Minister. The statement, signed by 53 deputies, was published by the TV channel owned by the wanted Ilan Shor.
Earlier, PSRM MP Corneliu Furculita said that a new parliamentary majority had been created in the parliament. He invited the president to consult with the parliamentary majority on March 18 at 12:00.
As follows from the document published by the TV channel, the new parliamentary majority consists of 53 deputies who had previously nominated Mariana Durlesteanu as a candidate for prime minister.
Recall, on March 16, ex-finance minister Mariana Durlesteanu, whom the Socialist Party planned to nominate as a candidate for prime minister, withdrew her candidacy while representatives of the PSRM faction were negotiating with President Maia Sandu on the political situation in the country and early elections. Maia Sandu, after consultations with the factions, announced that she would nominate the acting PAS leader Igor Grosu.
On March 17, PSRM deputies appealed to the Constitutional Court to suspend Sandu's decree appointing Grosu as a candidate for the post of prime minister.
