The Democratic Party of Moldova took note of the decision of the Constitutional Court to lift the state of emergency imposed by the parliament and the decree of President Maia Sandu to dissolve the parliament and hold early elections.
“Taking into account the fact that the decisions of the Constitutional Court are binding, the PDM considers unnecessary any assessments and disputes on this issue, which may further aggravate the political situation.
At the same time, we regret that DPM initiatives aimed at ensuring effective management of public affairs have been blocked by the narrow political interests of some parties, and thus the country enters the elections with severe problems that may even worsen in the short and medium term.
In the early parliamentary elections, the DPM will promote solutions to real problems facing the country and will try to strengthen the electorate who is tired of cheap political shows and wants the country to be governed by responsible, effective and professional politicians,” the DPM said in a
statement.
Recall, yesterday, April 28, President Maia Sandu signed a decree on the dissolution of parliament. Thus, early parliamentary elections will be held on July 11.
