President Maia Sandu held a press conference after the meeting of the Supreme Security Council due to the situation in Ukraine.
“We have decided that the Government will appeal to the Parliament with a request to declare a state of emergency,” the head of state said.
Maia Sandu said that the Republic of Moldova is ready to receive tens of thousands of people.
It was also decided to activate the patrol work of the Interior Ministry units in order to prevent possible risks.
