The BoCS MP Corneliu Furculita was summoned and heard at the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office as a suspect in a case of illicit enrichment.
The information was confirmed by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Prosecutor Mariana Kerpek, tv8.md reported
“We confirm that on July 29, 2022, deputy Corneliu Furculita was summoned to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and heard as a defendant in a criminal case of illicit enrichment.
The MP did not plead guilty and refused to make any statements about the circumstances of the case under investigation. A measure of procedural coercion in the form of compulsory presence at the Prosecutor’s Office was applied to him. A criminal investigation is underway, upon the completion of which we will share additional information”, – Kerpek stated.
