PAS leader Igor Grosu accused the Governor of Gagauzia of political inconsistency, while the official himself says he “prefers to interact” with other politicians. “Both Ankara and Bucharest as well as the ambassadors are very smart people and can draw conclusions,” the Parliament President said in a broadcast on Prime, unimedia.info reports “I prefer to interact with politicians who are consistent, not today’s politicians. They woke up in the morning, started working where the vector is different, and quickly became pro-Western. Someone who is pro-European in the morning, pro-Turkish in the afternoon and pro-Russian in the evening, then meets with the Romanian ambassador and shows an overwhelming commitment to Romania... Both Ankara and Bucharest as well as the ambassadors are very smart and can draw conclusions,” the PAS leader said. Irina Vlah is running out of her second term as Gagauz Governor and can no longer run for the next one. The Governor has become politically active in the past year and some say that she will prepare herself for politics at the national level. Recently, Vlah had a meeting with Turkish President Erdogan, whom she invited to Comrat, and the executive branch in Gagauzia often announces her meetings and talks with foreign ambassadors accredited to Moldova.
