On November 23, Chisinau International Airport returned to the ownership of the Republic of Moldova. The Court of Appeals issued a final and enforceable ruling. Former Prime Minister Ion Chicu welcomed the court’s decision, but recalled that the procedure for returning the airport was initiated when he was head of the cabinet. “The Moldovan government settled the Concession Agreement for Chisinau International Airport in July 2020. Now the Court of Appeals has only confirmed the legality of our actions. I spoke about these actions on TVR Moldova in the same year,” Chicu noted, accompanying the post with a recording of the May 2020 broadcast. Moreover, the former premier believes that under the current leadership, the airport will fall into disrepair and the quality of its services will suffer. “Unfortunately, the return of the airport to the state administration will only mean the degradation of this strategic facility and a decrease in the quality of services provided. PAS is not capable of anything else. I hope I am wrong,” Chicu concluded. Point
