In a Twitter post, the President said she spoke with Harris about Moldova’s European path and thanked her for Washington’s assistance to Chisinau. “I am honored to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss the reform agenda and our path to European integration. I am grateful to the U.S. for its generous support for Moldova during the most difficult moments in history. For her part, the U.S. Vice President welcomed Moldova’s progress in the reform agenda and reiterated Washington’s support for Moldova’s energy security and defense. Harris also congratulated Maia Sandu on receiving the Madeleine C. Albright Democracy Prize and underscored the strong support of the U.S. for the Moldovan President’s commitment to pursue democratic and anti-corruption reforms.
